Privacy Policy for Munchi

Munchi ("we", "us", or "the app") is a cozy, offline-first pipe-connecting puzzle game. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Munchi, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information stored only on your device

Munchi saves the following data locally on your device (using on-device storage). This information is not transmitted to us — we operate no servers and never receive it:

• Your level progress and completed puzzles
• App settings (such as sound and music preferences)
• Your in-game gem and hint balance
• Ad frequency counters (used to cap how often ads are offered)

This data is removed when you uninstall the app.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Munchi shows optional rewarded ads — you may choose to watch a short video ad to earn extra hints or gems. These ads are provided by Google AdMob. To serve, measure, and (where permitted) personalize these ads, AdMob may collect and process:

• Advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA)
• IP address and approximate (coarse) location derived from it
• Device information (device model, operating system, and similar technical data)
• Ad interaction data (such as ads shown, taps, and completions)

3. What we do not do

• We do not require an account, email, or sign-in.
• We do not use any analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs of our own.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not collect your name, contacts, photos, precise GPS location, or microphone/camera data.

4. Your choices and controls

On iOS

When you first play, iOS asks whether you allow the app to track you (the App Tracking Transparency prompt). If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. You can change this anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

On Android

You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in Settings › Google › Ads.

5. Children's privacy

Munchi is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app's advertising, please contact us so we can address it.

6. Data security and retention

Data transmitted to our advertising partner is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. On-device data remains on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. Data collected by Google AdMob is retained and managed according to Google's policies.

7. International users

Advertising data may be processed by Google on servers located in countries other than your own. Where required by applicable law (for example, in the EEA and UK), you may be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data held about you by contacting us or Google.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
